He is a former city prosecutor and former county prosecutor. In his practice as a criminal defense lawyer, he has defended persons charged with criminal and traffic offenses since 1985. Mr. Ahern is a member of the Minnesota Society for Criminal Justice; the Criminal Section of the Minnesota Bar Association; and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. 1992 - Present - Since 1991 Paul B. Ahern has dedicated his entire practice to the aggressive defense of persons charged with criminal and DWI offenses. Paul B. Ahern has been a guest lecturer to other defense attorneys at Continuing Legal Education Seminars on the subject of DWI Defense. 1985 - 1991 - Froberg & Penberthy; Froberg & Ahern: city prosecutor for the cities of Shorewood and Tonka Bay in the Lake Minnetonka area. In private practice, Mr. Ahern’s practice also included a substantial amount of criminal defense work, representing clients charged with Felony, Misdemeanor and DWI offenses. 1984 - Assistant County Attorney: Benton County, Minnesota.
